1. Warranty Coverage
Warranty coverage for products sold by KWAS Homes depends on the relevant product and manufacturer.
Unless a different warranty period is expressly stated on the product page, invoice or warranty document, eligible products carry a 12-month limited warranty against verified manufacturing defects, beginning on the date of delivery.
Where a manufacturer provides a different or longer warranty, the manufacturer’s stated warranty period and conditions will apply in addition to any mandatory rights available under Omani law.
2. What the Warranty Covers
Subject to the product-specific or manufacturer warranty, coverage applies to verified defects in materials, construction or workmanship arising during normal domestic use.
Examples may include:
1. Structural failure caused by a manufacturing defect;
2. Defective components or fittings under normal use;
3. Printing or production faults in wall art that materially differ from the approved order; and
4. Other defects expressly covered by the manufacturer.
The existence and cause of a defect may need to be confirmed through photographs, video, remote assessment or physical inspection.
3. What the Warranty Does Not Cover
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the warranty does not cover:
5. Normal wear and tear, ageing or gradual deterioration;
6. Accidental damage, impact, scratches, stains, burns, cuts or water damage;
7. Misuse, negligence, abuse or use contrary to care instructions;
8. Damage caused by incorrect customer assembly, installation or handling;
9. Damage caused by moving, dismantling, transporting or reinstalling a product after delivery;
10. Repairs, modifications or alterations by an unauthorized person;
11. Use of unsuitable chemicals, abrasive cleaners or cleaning methods;
12. Exposure to excessive moisture, heat, direct sunlight, air-conditioning discharge, outdoor conditions, insects, pets or environmental factors not suitable for the product;
13. Natural differences in wood grain, stone, fabric, texture, colour or finish;
14. Minor colour differences caused by screens, lighting, photography or printing processes;
15. Fabric pilling, creasing, softening or cushion settlement resulting from normal use;
16. Damage caused by failure to maintain or protect the product reasonably;
17. Products sold and clearly identified as clearance, display, imperfect or “as is,” where the claim relates to a condition disclosed before purchase; or
18. Commercial, rental, hospitality or institutional use unless the product was expressly sold and warranted for that purpose.
These exclusions do not apply where they would remove a right that cannot lawfully be excluded under Omani law.
4. Custom-Size Printed Paintings
Custom-size printed paintings are produced according to customer-approved specifications. Customers should confirm dimensions, orientation, artwork, material and any framing options before production begins.
The warranty covers verified printing or manufacturing defects and material non-conformity with the approved order. It does not cover minor differences between on-screen colours and printed output, reasonable production tolerances or incorrect measurements supplied or approved by the customer.
5. Domestic and Commercial Use
Unless expressly stated otherwise, products are sold for normal domestic use. Use in offices, rental properties, hotels, restaurants, commercial premises or other high-use environments may not be covered by the standard domestic warranty.
Commercial customers should request written confirmation of applicable warranty coverage before purchasing.
6. Making a Warranty Claim
To submit a claim, contact info@kwashomes.com or [INSERT TELEPHONE/WHATSAPP NUMBER] and provide:
19. Order number and proof of purchase;
20. Customer name and contact information;
21. Product name and, where available, model or serial number;
22. Description of the problem and when it began;
23. Clear photographs and/or video showing the issue; and
24. Any additional information reasonably requested for assessment.
The customer should stop using a product if continued use could worsen the damage or create a safety risk.
7. Inspection and Assessment
KWAS Homes, the manufacturer or an authorized service provider may assess the claim remotely or arrange an inspection. The customer must provide reasonable access to the product at the agreed time.
Inspection or collection does not itself confirm warranty approval. A determination will be made after the available evidence and product condition have been assessed.
8. Warranty Remedies
For an approved warranty claim, the available remedy may include:
25. Repairing the defective part or product;
26. Replacing a defective component;
27. Replacing the product with the same or an equivalent product; or
28. Providing a refund or other remedy where required by applicable law.
The appropriate remedy will depend on the nature of the defect, feasibility of repair, availability of parts or replacements, manufacturer terms and the customer’s applicable statutory rights.
Replacement parts or products may differ slightly in shade, grain or finish because of production batches and natural material variation.
9. Proof of Purchase and Original Customer
Proof of purchase is required for a warranty claim. Unless applicable law or a manufacturer warranty states otherwise, warranty coverage applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
10. Relationship With Statutory Rights
This Warranty Policy is provided in addition to, and does not replace, any mandatory rights or remedies available under the Consumer Protection Law and other applicable laws of the Sultanate of Oman.
